www.Qicme.org (the "Site") is owned by the Peer·Point Medical Education Institute, LLC. Peer·Point ("we," "us," or "our") are strongly committed to respecting and protecting your privacy. Please carefully read the following Privacy Policy.

Any person accessing, browsing, or otherwise using the Site shall be considered a "User." The purpose of this Privacy Policy ("Policy") is to explain the type of information that the Site collects from Users, what is done with this information, and with whom this information is shared.

USER CONSENT TO PRIVACY POLICY

By accessing, browsing, or using the Site, Users acknowledge that they have read, understand, agree, and consent to the terms and conditions of the Policy. Users consent to the collection, use, and disclosure of User information, including personal information and anonymous browsing information (together "Information"), by the Site, the Peer·Point Medical Education Institute, LLC, pursuant to the terms of this Policy. If you do not consent to these terms and conditions, please do not access, browse, or use the Site or provide Information to us.

THE INFORMATION COLLECTED

ANONYMOUS BROWSING INFORMATION

Users can browse the Site without revealing personal information. However, through the use of cookies (see below) and other techniques, the servers of the Site may collect the User’s Internet Protocol (IP) address, the name of the User’s computer's operating system, the name of the domain used to access the Internet, the website from which the User came, and the website the User visits next.

PERSONAL INFORMATION

The Site only collects personal information from Users who voluntarily provide such information through the Site. This personal information may include a User's name, address, phone number, e-mail address, and any other personal information provided by the User through the Site to the Peer·Point Medical Education Institute, LLC, and its employees or agents, via e-mail, facsimile, or mail (such as when submitting a certificate application).

COOKIES

Like many other websites, the Site may use cookies. A cookie is a piece of information that is sent from a Site web server to a User's web browser and that is stored on the User's hard drive. Cookies are typically used to recognize the User and to understand how the Site is being used. These cookies are stored on the User’s computer, but they never contain personal data and cannot be accessed remotely by anyone other than this site and its hosting company.

HOW THE SITE USES THE INFORMATION

The Site uses the Information collected from Users to respond to Users' questions and/or comments, process registration for and participation in live or recorded educational activities, respond to continuing education certificate requests, notify Users of their certificate status, provide any services or information that are requested through the website, and provide Users with information about upcoming continuing education activities (such as information from educational courses) and important functionality changes to the Site.

Anonymous browsing information may be used to gather broad demographic information for marketing, promotional, or similar activities. This information may be aggregated to measure the number of visits to the Site, the average time spent at the Site, and page views and other statistics about Users of the Site. We also may use these data to monitor the performance of the Site and to enhance the user friendliness and convenience of the Site.

SHARING OF USER INFORMATION

We will not sell, share, trade, or give away any Information to third parties collected or received regarding its Users, except in the following circumstances:

We have obtained a User's written consent to share personal information.

We may provide aggregate statistics about Users' site activities to third parties for marketing, promotion, or similar activities. None of these statistics will identify Users personally.

We will share Information with the Peer·Point Medical Education Institute, LLC, the owners of the Site. The Peer·Point Medical Education Institute, LLC, its employees and agents, will abide by this Policy when handling Information.

The Site may disclose Information about Users to third parties, if a good faith belief exists that disclosure is required or permitted by law or legal process, to respond to claims, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of the Site, the Peer·Point Medical Education Institute, LLC, or others.

In the event that the Site, or the Peer·Point Medical Education Institute, LLC, decides to sell all or part or its assets, the right to include Information among the assets transferred to the acquiring company is reserved.

APPLICABLE LAW/INTERNATIONAL ISSUES

Information that is submitted to the Site will be collected, processed, stored, disclosed, and disposed of in accordance with applicable US laws. If the User is a non-US User, the User acknowledges and agrees that Information may be collected, used, and disclosed to other entities outside the User’s resident jurisdiction, as discussed in "Sharing of User Information" above. In addition, such Information may be stored on servers located outside the User’s resident jurisdiction. US law may not provide the degree of protection for personal information that is available in other countries. By providing the Site with information, the User acknowledges that the User has read this Policy, understands it, agree to its terms, and consents to the transfer of such information outside the User’s resident jurisdiction. If the User does not consent to the terms of this Policy and has already provided the Site with Information, please contact the Site at QIinfo@qicme.org.

CHILDREN’S PRIVACY PROTECTION

The Site does not knowingly collect any personal information from children under the age of 13 years. If the User is younger than 13 years of age, the User agrees that the User will not provide personal information through the Site.

SECURITY

All web servers used by the Site have appropriate physical, electronic, and managerial procedures in place to safeguard and secure all information collected online. The Site makes no representations or warranties with regard to the sufficiency of these security measures. The Site shall not be responsible for any actual or consequential damages that result from a lapse in compliance with this Policy as a result of a security breach or technical malfunction. Certain information may be transmitted to the User by e-mail. Although it is illegal to intercept or disclose these messages under US federal law, these transmissions are not secure. In addition, Users' communications through the Site are, in most cases, viewed only by the User and anyone to whom the message is addressed. As the operator of the Site, there may be need to review or monitor the User’s electronic mail and other communications from time to time as may be required by law. Therefore, the User should not expect to have a right to privacy in any of the User’s communications.

AMENDMENTS TO PRIVACY POLICY

TThe Site reserves the right to amend this Policy periodically. Any amendments made to this Policy will be considered effective immediately after the amendments are posted on the Site.
